Recent Developments :: 7.12.17
Posted on July 12 2017
I have not had the chance to travel in the past couple of months since I have been in L.A. working on the launch of a new chapter for V/SUAL. Don't worry the official announcement is coming soon.
That doesn't mean I haven't been going out and making photos. Especially film. While doing my weekly back and forth trips from the valley to Samy's I decided to drop off a few recent rolls of film I had shot with. By now you should know that means a new Recent Developments segment which you are reading here.
I have always been an advocate for creating with film. Wether you are new to photography or a seasoned vet. It truly is good for the soul as well as the creative process. The film used for the images below was Kodak Tri-X 400 and Ilford XP2. Some of the photos are of me just cruising around to aerial work with Copter Pilot as well as a sneak peak at my recent shoot with Linda Zhao.
I also dropped a couple of portraits of my friends Blue and Kelly Hart in here. One thing I have learned over life is if you have good people around you be sure to document them. Never take them for granted. These two guys are some of the nicest people I have come to know and while randomly bumping into them on the street I made it a point to grab a quick portrait.
So check out the photos and remember to shoot film!
